Football4Future: Soar into sports with wings of hope
Since 2024, UniCoN has been implementing the Football4Future project with support from the FIFA Foundation, empowering marginalized youth—especially girls—through the transformative power of football, mentorship, and life-skills development.
Over the past two years, Football4Future has:
Benefited 147 students, with over 70% girls from under-resourced public schools in Pokhara
Prioritized schools located in slum catchment areas, where children often lack access to safe spaces for play and growth
In 2025, directly supported 105 girls (aged 10–16) through structured football activities and personal development workshops
Formed 5 girls’ teams from 4 schools, trained by licensed coaches
Provided each participant with:
Complete jersey sets
Boots, shin pads, socks
Personal footballs and training materials
Beyond the Field
Football4Future is more than a game—it is a pathway to confidence, leadership, and opportunity. Alongside football training, the project delivers:
We are working closely with the Education Department of Pokhara Metropolitan City and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA-Kaski) to integrate sports and development at the school level. However, despite strong collaboration, government prioritization and funding for girls’ sports remains critically low.
Join Us – There’s Still a Long Way to Go
The demand from other schools is growing rapidly. We receive continuous requests from principals, teachers, and parents eager to bring this opportunity to their students—especially girls who have never stepped onto a football field before.
But there is still a significant gap in funding, resources, and support. Your support can help us:
Expand the program to more public schools
Reach hundreds of girls still waiting for their chance to play and grow
Train more coaches, mentors, and focal teachers for long-term sustainability
Be part of the change. Empower girls. Transform communities.
